The Feast Of The Assumption Celebrated In Idaho

On August 15, 2026 with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, Rev. Fr. Nzhdeh Keshishyan visited the Armenian community of Idaho. Dozens of faithful gathered at the church to worship together and offer their prayers to God.

During the Divine Liturgy, Fr. Nzhdeh reflected on the spiritual meaning of the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God, encouraging the faithful not to fear death, for our Lord Jesus Christ has already conquered death.

Following the Divine Liturgy, the traditional Blessing of the Grapes ceremony was offered, giving the faithful an opportunity to celebrate the feast and give thanks for God’s abundant blessings.

The celebration concluded with a fellowship reception, providing Fr. Nzhdeh with the opportunity to spend time with members of the community and strengthen the bonds of faith and fellowship that unite the Armenian faithful of Idaho.
