Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian's Spiritual and Theological Publications

Under the patronage of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America and with the blessing and encouragement of the Primate, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, numerous books authored and edited by the Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian have been published over the years. Through their spiritual, theological, historical, and educational content, these works represent a valuable contribution to Armenian ecclesiastical literature.

For many years, the publishing ministry of the Western Diocese has placed particular emphasis on making spiritual and religious literature accessible to the faithful, young people, and new generations. Its aim has been to provide works that illuminate the faith of our Holy Church, its theological thought, liturgical traditions, and the spiritual legacy of the Church Fathers. The Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian has made a significant contribution to this publishing mission through his extensive scholarly and literary work.

Fr. Dajad’s publications explore a wide range of subjects, including the liturgical and festive life of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, the lives of the saints, the spiritual meaning of fasting, Armenian ecclesiastical traditions, theological and patristic thought, the history of Armenian monasticism, the interpretive tradition of Holy Scripture, and the teaching of the Christian faith. His works seek to introduce readers to the rich spiritual heritage of our Holy Church and to inspire them to transform that heritage into a lived and vibrant faith.

Among these publications is the notable volume The Armenian Apostolic Church: Feasts, Saints, Fasts, and Religious Traditions, prepared at the direction and with the blessing of the Primate. The book presents the principal feasts of the Church, the spiritual significance of the Sundays of Great Lent, feasts dedicated to the Holy Cross, and various subjects relating to the lives and witness of the saints and their faith.

Also published through the scholarly work of the Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian is St. Nersess Shnorhali’s Confession of Faith of the Armenian Church, accompanied by an introduction and a translation into Modern Armenian. The Western Diocese’s publishing program has also included Fr. Dajad's works on Holy Communion, explanations of the Divine Liturgy, the orthodox faith of the Armenian Church, and the monastic centers of learning and spiritual and intellectual life in historical Armenia.

Taken together, these publications bear witness to Fr. Dajad’s many years of intellectual and spiritual labor. Through his writings, he consistently seeks to open before readers the theological, patristic, liturgical, and historical treasures of our Church, connecting the rich heritage of the past with the spiritual life and needs of the faithful today.

His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, highly commends the longstanding literary and ecclesiastical service of Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Yardemian, as well as his steadfast dedication and commitment to enriching Armenian spiritual literature and making the centuries-old heritage of our Holy Church accessible to a wider readership.

Presented below are the volumes by Fr. Dajad that have been published to date by the Western Diocese, as well as works currently being prepared for publication.

We pray that the Lord will grant Fr. Dajad continued good health, abundant spiritual and intellectual strength, and renewed inspiration as he continues his literary and ecclesiastical mission for the glory of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and the spiritual edification of our faithful people.
