Accompanied by Mr. Derik Ghookasian, Chief Operating Officer of Ararat Home and Vice-Chair of the Diocesan Council, Margarita Kechichian, Executive Director of Ararat Home as well as the nursing staff, the residents of Ararat Home visited the Diocesan Headquarters in Burbank on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
Welcomed by the Rev. Fr. Yeremia Khachatryan, Visiting Priest to Ararat Home, the residents were introduced to the Diocesan Primate H.E. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian and the reverend clergy who greeted and extended their pastoral blessings to the elderly. The guests learned about the history of the Western Diocese, its structure as well as its missions and projects. The Primate also introduced his guests to the members of the Ladies Society Central Council of the Western Diocese who also pay visits to Ararat Home during the year.
Prior to their departure, the residents were entertained with musical performances and were treated to a delicious Mediterranean lunch in the Paul Brothers Galleria.
