On October 22, 2026, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Gevork Abyan, visited H.B.U.M. Manoukian-Demirdjian School.
Warmly welcomed by the school’s administration, faculty, and students, Archbishop Derderian met with teachers and staff, expressing his appreciation for their dedication to the school’s educational mission. He also toured the campus and visited the newly constructed facilities.
A highlight of the visit was his meeting with middle and high school students, during which he spoke about faith, kindness, and the importance of preserving the spiritual and national heritage of the Armenian people. The students engaged in conversation with the Archbishop, asking questions and receiving his paternal guidance.
The gathering concluded with communal prayer, as Archbishop Derderian offered his blessing and encouraged the students to grow in love, wisdom, and faith while cherishing their Armenian identity and heritage. He also donated spiritual books to the school’s teachers and library to support the community’s spiritual growth and strengthen Christian values.
School Principal David Ghoogasian expressed his sincere gratitude to the Archbishop for his visit and his continued paternal care and support for the school and its educational mission.
