Fr. Serovbe Alanjian Visits Boise Armenian Community

More than 70 faithful gathered in Boise on Saturday, September 19, 2026, for a festive picnic celebrating the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

The gathering was honored by the presence of the Rev. Fr. Serovbe Alanjian, who visited on behalf of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America. As Director of Mission Parishes, Fr. Serovbe was introduced to the faithful and had the opportunity to meet with families and parishioners.

In keeping with Armenian Church tradition, Fr. Serovbe performed the blessing of the basil, a cherished custom associated with the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The ceremony added a spiritual dimension to the celebration and offered an opportunity for those gathered to reaffirm their connection to the Armenian Church and its sacred traditions.

The joyful occasion brought together the faithful for fellowship and strengthened the bonds of faith and Armenian heritage in Boise.
