On September 25, 2026, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, received a delegation from the Armenian Assembly of America at the Diocesan Headquarters.
The delegation included Co-Chair Oscar Tatossian, Executive Director Bryan Ardouny, Western Region Director David Ojakian, and Director of Development and Membership Mary Jo Bazarian. Western Diocese Executive Director Harout Margarian was also present.
During the warm and cordial meeting, the participants exchanged views on a range of issues concerning the life of the Armenian people and the Armenian-American community. Discussions also focused on the importance of cooperation between the Armenian Church and national organizations, as well as the need for collaborative efforts to strengthen community life.
Archbishop Derderian warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for the constructive exchange. He emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and expanding cooperation among religious and national institutions in the Armenian-American community in support of its spiritual and national life.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the Armenian Assembly of America’s activities and its work within the Armenian-American community. The Primate expressed his appreciation for the organization’s service and conveyed his good wishes to its leadership and members, praying for continued and fruitful endeavors.
The delegation expressed its gratitude to Archbishop Derderian for his warm reception and likewise valued the opportunity for dialogue and exchange.
The meeting concluded with a shared emphasis on the importance of continued dialogue and regular engagement in strengthening the spiritual and national life of the Armenian-American community.
