Chronicles Of The Western Diocese's Centennial History With Norayr Poghosyan

Following the fire that destroyed the Armenian Apostolic Church of Fresno, a new church was constructed, where the first Divine Liturgy was celebrated on April 12, 1914.

The Very Rev. Fr. Vartan Kasparian (1874–1967) played a significant role in the construction of the new church. A member of the Brotherhood of St. James in Jerusalem, he moved to the United States in 1912.
