The Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America hosted its 15th Annual Summer Night at the Turpanjian Plaza on Thursday, August 20, 2026, under the elegant theme, “Champagne and Chandeliers.” Organized by the Ladies Guild of the Western Diocese, chaired by Mrs. Araxie Boyamian, and graciously hosted by Mrs. Carmen Libaridian, the evening brought together clergy, community leaders, benefactors, and friends of the Diocese for a memorable celebration honoring the exceptional talents of Armenian musical artists and dancers. Mrs. Boyamian offered the welcoming remarks and expressed her gratitude for the continued support of the community. This year’s honorees were Ara Dabandjian, Catherine Hairabedian, Koryun Hayrapetyan, Gor Yepremyan, Yeva Kans, Ari Libaridian, and Nari Harutyunyan, whose God-given talents continue to enrich Armenian cultural life and inspire generations.

In his remarks, Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian commended the Ladies Guild for its longstanding devotion and generous support of the mission and ministries of the Western Diocese. “Your love, faith, and dedication are truly commendable. Your support helps to sustain the many God-pleasing ministries and missions through which we serve our people, touch lives, and strengthen our community,” the Primate said. Reflecting on the significance of the evening, Archbishop Derderian added, “The 15th Annual Summer Night at Turpanjian Plaza is a cherished occasion that fills our community with joy and anticipation. This evening, we have the privilege of honoring Armenian artists whose God-given talents help preserve and celebrate our rich cultural heritage through the beauty of music. I am confident that tonight will be a truly memorable and joyous celebration.”

The evening was further enriched by beautiful performances by the Hamazkayin “Baruyr Sevag” Chapter’s Niari Dance Ensemble, showcasing the grace, energy, and enduring beauty of Armenian dance. Guests enjoyed an elegant dining experience catered by Ritz Celebration, adding to the festive atmosphere of the evening. Through its annual Summer Night celebration, the Ladies Guild continues to foster fellowship and community while supporting the spiritual, educational, cultural, and charitable ministries of the Western Diocese. This year’s gathering was a fitting celebration of Armenian artistic excellence and a heartfelt expression of gratitude for those whose talents, dedication, and service help preserve and advance the rich heritage of the Armenian people.
