“Zvartnots” Cultural Association Presents Yerevan Nights With Armenian Folk Dance And Culture

The “Zvartnots” Association hosted an evening of Armenian folk dance, music, and cultural celebration on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church.

Held under the auspices of the Diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian and themed "Yerevan Night," the welcoming remarks were delivered by the Chair of the Zvartnots Cultural Committee Dr. Simon Simonian. The festive program featured Armenian folk dances and a special presentation of the history of Armenian dance vestments (taraz) by Nune Avetisyan, offering guests an opportunity to experience the richness and beauty of Armenia’s traditional performing arts.

The evening's music entertainment was provided by DJ Chris and also featured dance performances by the Zvartots Dance Ensemble under the directorship of Vartan and Armine Aghajanyan. 

In his remarks, Archbishop Derderian commended the Zvartnots Cultural Committee for its steadfast commitment to preserving and promoting Armenian cultural identity.
