His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, together with the Clergy, the Diocesan Council, and the staff of the Western Diocese, announce with profound sorrow the passing of one of the Diocese's devoted and distinguished retired clergymen, Archpriest Fr. Sipan A. Mekhsian, who entered his eternal rest on Saturday, July 18.
The Last Unction Rite and the Funeral Service will take place during the celebration of the Divine Liturgy on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 12:00 noon, at St. Leon (Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral of the Western Diocese.
By the directive of His Eminence the Primate, the Diocesan Headquarters will make all the necessary arrangements for the funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be make to the Diocesan Headquarters.
"May the Lord illumine the soul of His departed servant and grant comfort to the faithful of His Holy Church."
