“Do not present the members of your body as instruments of unrighteousness to serve sin, but present yourselves to God.”
(Romans 6:13)
These words of Paul the Apostle contain one of the most important truths of the Christian life: human beings were created not for sin, but for God. Our life is not a random existence, but a gift from God, and each day is given to us as an opportunity to choose whom we will serve.
In today’s world, people often stand before many temptations. The world teaches us to live only for our own desires, to think only of ourselves, and to seek temporary pleasures. Yet the Word of God reminds us that our bodies, our minds, our words, and our actions should not become instruments of sin, but should serve goodness, love, and truth.
People often think that freedom means doing whatever they want. But in the light of the Gospel, true freedom is freedom from the power of sin. When a person becomes a slave to passions, anger, jealousy, or selfishness, they lose their inner peace. But when they surrender their life to God, they find a freedom that no one can take away from them.
The Lord does not ask great things from us. He desires that our eyes see what is good, our lips speak the truth, our hands show mercy, and our hearts be filled with love. When we dedicate every part of our lives to God, even our daily life becomes an act of prayer and service.
Every day a choice stands before us. We can follow the path that leads us away from God, or we can choose the path that leads to light and life. Jesus Christ calls us not to a half-hearted faith, but to complete dedication.
Therefore, let these apostolic words become the guide of our lives. Let us offer our thoughts, our words, our actions, and our whole being to God, as His true children and disciples in this world.
