AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School Seniors Receive Their Final Holy Communion

On Tuesday, May 27, 2026, the graduating Class of 2026 of AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School participated in a deeply meaningful and cherished tradition as they received their final Holy Communion as students of the school. The senior class gathered in a spirit of prayer and thanksgiving, marking an important milestone in their educational and spiritual journey. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, was joined by Archpriest Fr. Shnork Demirjian, Pastor of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church of Van Nuys, and Rev. Fr. Gevork Abyan, Assistant to thePastor, in administering the Holy Communion to the graduating students.

Addressing the graduates, Archbishop Derderian reflected upon the enduring bond between the Armenian Church and the school community, emphasizing the importance of remaining steadfast in their ancestral Christian faith and faithful to the sacred traditions of the Armenian Christian family. “As you prepare to write the next chapter of your life’s journey, have Jesus Christ accompany you,” stated the Primate. “Lead prayerful lives, pray for your parents and teachers, and seek Christ’s guidance throughout your life’s journey.” His inspiring message encouraged the graduates to carry with them the spiritual values and principles that have been nurtured throughout their years at AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School.

The occasion also served as an opportunity to express gratitude for the continued blessings, guidance, and support extended to the students and their families by the clergy and the Armenian Christian community. The graduating seniors offered their heartfelt appreciation to the clergy, school administration, faculty, parents, and the entire school community for their compassionate care, encouragement, and dedication to their growth and success.

As the Class of 2026 prepares to embark upon new academic and personal endeavors, this final Communion will remain a cherished memory and a lasting reminder of the faith, values, and spiritual foundation that will accompany them throughout their lives.
