Harout Markarian
Executive Director
Harout Markarian joined the Western Diocese as Executive Director in June 2008.
Harout is responsible for the day to day operations of the Diocese and oversees all administrative functions.
Born in Etchmiadzin, Armenia and immigrated to Glendale, CA in 1990. A member of St. John Garabed Armenian Church (Hollywood, CA) and currently serves on the Parish Council.
He earned is B.A. in Political Science from California State University, Northridge and M.A. in Public Administration with emphasis on Health Services Administration from the University of San Francisco.
