Palm Sunday Celebration and Luncheon Featuring the Talented ACYO of Holy Apostles Armenian Church
Published - 2 April 2026

In celebration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into the Holy City of Jerusalem, on March 29, 2026, the ACYO Chapter of Holy Apostles Armenian Church of La Crescenta hosted its annual Palm Sunday luncheon in collaboration with the Ladies’ Society of the parish.

The event began with an opening prayer led by Father Avedis Abovian.

In the Western Diocese, Palm Sunday is especially significant as it is dedicated to celebrating the youth, emphasizing their role as the future of our Mother Church and the Armenian community. Events like this strengthen the bonds between young people and their cultural and spiritual heritage, particularly within the Tujunga community.

Our ACYO youth members dedicated a great deal of time and effort to organizing and preparing for this event, demonstrating both leadership and commitment. The luncheon provided a meaningful opportunity for the unification of different generations, bringing together families, parish members, and youth in a shared celebration. A highlight of the afternoon was a mini-concert featuring traditional Armenian songs and dances, as well as instrumental performances, which created a lively and uplifting atmosphere. This performance also served as a preview for a larger concert that the Holy Apostles ACYO plans to host on May 10th for Mother’s Day.
