We are pleased to inform the Diocesan faithful that the Armenian community of Denver, Colorado, under the leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the United States, and through the collective efforts of the Diocesan and the local Parish Council, has successfully implemented the acquisition of a church property.

In addition to the church, the new complex will have a day school and a youth community center. The new church complex will be the spiritual, educational and cultural hub, fostering the continued growth and vitality of the community.
Years ago, at the Primate’s initiative, the Armenian American community of Denver was established as a “mission parish.” Throughout the years, it began to further develop and strengthen, to the frequent pastoral visits of His Eminence and the clergy, as well as the dedicated participation of the local faithful.
On this joyous occasion, at the direction of His Eminence, the first Divine Liturgy in the new facility will be celebrated on Sunday, April 5, the Feast of the Holy Resurrection, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the life of the community. The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Gevork Abyan, Assistant Pastor of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church of Van Nuys.
The consecration ceremony of the new church will take place in the near future by the hand of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. In parallel with the construction of the church and its adjoining facilities, the necessary appointments will be made for ecclesiastical, educational, and community leadership positions, with the aim of strengthening the organizational and pastoral life of the community.
On this occasion, His Eminence highly commends the faith, dedication, and unwavering commitment of the Armenian community of Colorado to our sacred religious heritage and national traditions. Indeed, they have been the principal driving force behind this achievement.
On this blessed occasion, the Diocesan Primate extends his paternal love, blessings, and best wishes to the entire Diocese, and especially to the faithful community of Denver, Colorado, offering thanksgiving to Almighty God for this gracious gift. May the life-giving light of the Holy Resurrection illuminate the life of the community, strengthen its faith, renew its commitment, and lead it toward new heights, for the glory of God and the edification of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
