Sunday April 6, 2025 was a historic day in the San Gabriel Valley. On the occasion of the Feast of St. Gregory the Illuminator, His Eminence Abp. Hovnan Derderian celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. Gregory Armenian Church of Pasadena.

The parish priest, Fr. Sarkis Petoyan had designated the celebration as the first annual “St. Gregory Parish Family Day”. Accordingly, over 30 Sunday school students with their parents and instructors, sang hymns (sharagans) of the Divine Liturgy, additionally, the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students of St. Gregory Hovsepian School were responsible for singing four additionally hymns.

The celebration was made complete with over 15 A.C.Y.O members participating in serving on the altar, vesting the Primate, reading the Confession and Sharing the Kiss of peace during services.
