On November 1, 2020, Mr. and Mrs. Kevork and Siranoush Iskanian, benefactors of St. Leon (Srbots Ghevontiants) Armenian Cathedral and St. John Garabed Armenian Church of Hollywood hosted a  fundraiser at their residence benefitting Armenia Fund. 


Organized by brothers Grigor and Nerses Iskanian, benefactors and Parish Council members of St. John Garabed Armenian Church, the fundraiser was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Diocesan Primate, His Excellency Armen Baibourtian, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles, Mrs. Maria Mehranian, President of Armenia Fund US Western Region, Archpriest Fr. Manoug Markarian, Parish Priest, and Dn. Harout Markarian, Executive Director of the Western Diocese. 


 
In his remarks, Archbishop Derderian commended the noble initiative of the Iskanian family , highlighting the importance of reaching out to the people of Artsakh who have been displaced from their ancestral homeland as a result of the ongoing war crimes committed by the Azeri Army backed by the Turkish government.  

We are delighted to inform the Diocesan faithful that a grand total of $425,000 was raised during the evening. The organizers express their gratitude to Harry Harout Shirikchian, Harout Pamboukjian and Tereza Toramanyan.
