Armenian Church of Ventura County Hosts 12th Annual Dinner Dance
Published - 1 November 2019

The 12th annual dinner-dance of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Ventura County, sponsored by the Ladies’ Society, was held on Saturday, October 19, at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.

The Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian attended the event and commended the outstanding organizational efforts of the Ladies Society in making the 12th annual dinner-dance a successful one. Archbishop Derderian reflected on the dedication and zeal of the Ladies Society in ensuring a thriving parish community. His Eminence encouraged the parishioners to emulate the life of Christ in becoming the radiating light of our Lord and Savior. Also present at the event was Archpriest Fr. Arshag Khatchadourian, Visiting Priest of the Armenian Church of Ventura County.

The event featured a silent auction, a delicious dinner and musical entertainment by The Greg Hosharian Brothers Band. Proceeds from the event were directed to support the mission of the church including Sunday school, Armenian language classes, cultural heritage and fellowship.

Patricia Adrian, Lucille Farsakian and Nora Sahagian co-chaired this year’s dinner-dance.

Gracious benefactors who underwrote the event included Nora Sahagian, Patricia Adrian, Christina Galstian, John and Lucille Farsakian, Eric and Fleurette Janigian, Arlene Saryan and Christian Alexander. The success of this year’s event promises to be even greater next year as the event is booked again at the North Ranch Country Club for Saturday, November 7th, 2020.

Established in the fall of 2007, the Armenian Apostolic Church of Ventura County holds services on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Thousand Oaks.
