A Prayer for Armenia
Published - 29 July 2016
“To know wisdom and instruction,
    to understand words of insight...”
(Proverbs 1:2).
The above quote from the Old Testament is the first sentence translated into Armenian by St. Mesrop Mashdots which also serves as a message to us all without exception, that God’s divine and immeasurable love is the source of peace and solace.

For nearly two weeks, the world has witnessed the civil unrest unfolding in Armenia. It is truly distressing to witness the inner divisiveness amongst our people who a quarter-century ago united and nearly unanimously voted to secede from the Soviet Union.

In our prayers, we beseech for God’s peace to prevail in our ancestral land.

At the Primate’s directive, a special prayer for peace in Armenia will be held at all Diocesan Parishes during the service on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
