On March 19, 2026, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian welcomed Rev. Dr. Krikor Youmshajekian, the new Executive Director of the Armenian Evangelical World Council, to the diocesan headquarters.

Accompanying Rev. Dr. Youmshajekian were Rev. Hendrik Shanazarian, Minister of the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America, and Rev. Joseph Garabedian, Pastor of the Armenian Cilicia Evangelical Church of Pasadena.

During the meeting, Archbishop Derderian provided an overview of the Diocese’s ongoing missions and initiatives, highlighting its spiritual, educational, and community outreach efforts. Particular emphasis was placed on the spirit of collaboration between the Armenian Apostolic and Evangelical communities, underscoring the importance of unity and shared purpose in advancing the faith and serving the faithful.

Concluding the visit, His Eminence conveyed his gratitude for the cordial exchange and extended his heartfelt well-wishes to his esteemed guests in their continued pastoral ministry.
