The annual Toy Drive sponsored by the In His Shoes Ministry of the Western Diocese was one of the most successful ever. Dedicated to the memory of Yvette Hakopian, who lost her life to domestic violence, the Toy Drive has brought holiday cheer and gifts to thousands of young children suffering the effects of domestic violence.

Once again this year, in a gesture of thanksgiving, people from far and near donated to this drive. Collections took place at the Cathedral of the Western Diocese, as well as select businesses, and online donations were received from faithful thanks to a partnership with StockCalifornia.com toy store. 

The In His Shoes elves got together and packed up the toys, delivering them to Family Service Agency of Burbank, where the toys will be delivered to children and families who are dealing with the effects of domestic violence.

Fr. Vazken Movsesian who organizes the Toy Drive, has designated Family Services Agency of Burbank as the recipient of the toys for years, because of their excellent programs of crisis intervention, clinical counseling and violence prevention services and education.
