On January 20, His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, presided over a meeting of Armenia’s bishops and diocesan primates, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

 
Discussions revolved around efforts to enrich spiritual life among the faithful of the respective dioceses, and to strengthen the church's pastoral outreach to the people.

A session on challenges facing the clergy included exchanges on training clergy, identifying prospective seminarians, and pending improvements in ecclesiastical education.
