Glendale City Manager Yasmin Beers Visits the Western Diocese
Published - 15 March 2018

Glendale City Manager Yasmin Beers Visited the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America on March 15, 2018. Mrs. Beers was accompanied by Mr. John Takhtalian, Deputy City Manager and Mr. Tom Lorenz, Director of Communications and Community Relations of the City of Glendale.

In a meeting with the Diocesan Primate, a number of city projects including the Armenian American Museum were introduced. In efforts to further solidify the bond between the Western Diocese and the City of Glendale, avenues of collaboration were discussed.

In his remarks, Archbishop Derderian expressed his gratitude to the city’s high-ranking officials for embracing the offerings and contributions of the Armenian-American community of Glendale.

On February 20, 2018 Yasmin Beers was promoted to Glendale City Manager and is the first female to serve in the top management position in Glendale's 112-year history.
