Primate visits Glendale Bible Study
Published - 9 January 2019

On the day after the Holy Nativity, the Armenian Church commemorates "Merelots" or Memorial Day, remembering those who have "fallen asleep in Christ." (ICor.15).

On Monday, January 7, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, visited with the Bible Study Group in Glendale at the St. Mark Episcopal Church. There he officiated over a special prayer service celebrating the New Year and remembering those who had passed away over the last year.

The day coincided with the 40th day of passing of Diramayr Anne Movsesian. Her son Fr. Vazken leads the Monday evening Bible Studies. On this occasion the group was honored to have His Eminence officiate and bless water on the occasion of the Theophany. Following services a fellowship took place with many wishes for health and happiness in the new year.

The Bible Studies take place with evening vespers every Monday in Glendale at 1020 N. Brand Blvd. The study begins promptly at 7PM. All are welcome to pray and learn.
