On Thursday, October 25, 2018, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian welcomed Mr. Haykak Arshamyan, President of Hayastan All Armenian Fund, to the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church.
Accompanied by Mrs. Maria Mehranian, President of the U.S. Western Region of Hayastan All Armenian Fund and officials from the U.S. Western Region Office, this was Mr. Arshamyan’s first official visit to the Diocese since his appointment as Director of Hayastan All Armenian Fund in September. Close to 40 clergy, donors, friends and supporters of Armenia Fund attended the reception in honor of Mr. Arshamyan at the Hampar Family Room of the Western Diocese.
After delivering his welcoming remarks, Archbishop Derderian reflected on Armenia Fund’s completed as well as ongoing projects in 2018, its humanitarian mission, and its significant role for the vivacity of the Republic of Armenia and Arstakh. His Eminence also congratulated Mr. Arshamyan, wishing him success in his endeavors.
Mr. Arshamyan was introduced by Mrs. Mehranian, who highlighted his vast contributions in the humanitarian field and his successful background as coordinator in a number of project managements. In turn, Mr. Arshamyan expressed his gratitude to the Diocesan Primate for the warm welcome and kind hospitality by the Western Diocese and introduced the launch of new and upcoming projects to be implemented by Armenia Fund themed “Armenia and Diaspora Hand in Hand.”
